Sadistic And Cold
We live in this world...
When we were young,
We learned that love is wrong.
Now,we're still sad and we're still cold...
Because of you,
Because of this world!
It's cold, it's frozen, it's wrong, it's faraway...
We are not like this,
We are not like them!
Another day began here...
Sadistic and cold, crying in rivers,
We wanna escape.
It's a strong cold souls' world...
Please don't kill innocent people only because you're wrong.
I can't feel anything...
Can you feel something?
This world makes us wrong: sadistic and cold...

598. My Nana and Me
My Nana and Me
My Nana loved me
Maybe more than anyone else ever has
She took care of me
She respected me
She cooked delicious and nutritious food for me
She gave me back rubs and nose rubs and foot rubs
She stood up for me when I was being bullied at school
She came to almost all of my school recitals
We had picnics and went on road trips. We talked about life, we shared hugs and laughter, and we enjoyed spending time together. We even shared the same initials (E.W.)
In Nana’s boudoir, I sat beside her as she combed my hair
The smell of her perfume and hairspray still lingers in my nostrils
We collected shells and sand dollars toget
Higher! Higher!
The warm summer wind brushed her hair, and there was nothing but blue sky above her. She rode the skies like she was born to do, her heart exploding from excitement and her body light, so light...
It was a glorious day and the sun was shining bright, turning her silver hair into a magnificent white crown. And she felt the queen of the skies, even if the wings did not belong to her. The beast that took her on its back had the vibrant colors of fire, yellow and orange and red, and the girl commanded it with the skills with which she would someday command fire itself. Just one touch and the beast flexed to the right. She adjust
It is harder for those who stay. She’d heard it before, but she’d never understood what it truly meant until life showed her. Life has a particularly rude and aggressive way of teaching the most important lessons - but then again, perhaps there is no other way to learn what is truly important.
The sterile whiteness of the hospital had become her second home in the many comings and goings during the last months, and even when they stepped away from the machines that beeped with each beat of her heart, she still heard her life ticking away. But she never complained, never absented herself from the side of the woman who raised her t
The following letter came to her in a warm summer day, much to her surprise. It had the violet seal of the mage community of Dalaran: the Kirin’tor, supposedly an elite group that gathered the most talented mages under their wings.
To Miss Aiwyn Runesong of Silvermoon
Dear Miss Aiwyn,
It is with great pleasure that I bring my lady a resolution of the Council of Six, the most powerful and knowledgeable mages of Azeroth, which can change your life for the better. It has come to our attention that your lineage comprises some of the most skilled mages to master the talents of arcane fire manipulation Azeroth has ever seen. We are also aw
Under a dome of moons and stars, the elves’ delight was as inebriating to the soul as a glass of the sweetest of wines. Their charming voices traveled through trees of golden crowns and a carpet of lush, green grass, weaving spells of hypnotic allure and guiding his mind into a spiral of fascination and desire. He could lose himself in that magic, never to emerge from the depths of his own self again. He could be forever gone, with his mind drifting away, lost like a flying kite.
But those eyes anchored him: if not to reality, then to their own world. Eyes of fierce intentions and unveiled promises. Truth, bared and simple, laid out fo

The Raptor Wants to Fly
sitting in a nest
a nest of cloth and cardboard
the little owl rests
orphaned and alone
too young to fend for herself
fed by the kind apes
with nothing to do
looking out a large window
an injured hawk rests
still recovering
inside an aviary
with a casted wing
sitting on a branch
she waited impatiently
waiting for something
the little owl watched
from the comfort of her nest
watching her for days
one day, the hawk jumped
and landed right on her feet
with disappointment
still eager to try
the hawk spread her wings
with the same ending
one day, with no cast
she again jumped off the branch
but she did not fall
swimming through the
fragments of a skull
a shiny lever lock key
pages from a book
all part of a collection
part of a tangled fortress
hiding in a cave
protected by its treasure
a hoarding rodent
gathering materials
trading one for another
expanding its home
a family tradition
ancient construction
left behind for apes to find
an artifact of the past
mummified flora
traces of animals gone
a small museum
generations of rodents
preserving their history
